The Sloan & Finn Community Care Fund exists to support pets and families in our community facing temporary hardship. We believe that rescue doesn’t always start in a shelter, often, it starts at home. By providing early support and resources, we can prevent unnecessary surrenders and help keep beloved pets where they belong.
Our Mission
The goal of the Community Care Fund is simple: keep pets safe, healthy, and with their families whenever possible.
Life can change quickly. Financial hardship, unexpected expenses, or limited access to resources should not be the reason a pet loses their home. This fund is designed to step in during those moments and provide meaningful, practical support.
What the Fund Supports
Spay & Neuter Assistance
We help reduce barriers to affordable spay and neuter services to prevent unplanned litters and support long-term pet health.
Pet Food & Essential Supplies
Emergency support for families in need, including pet food, crates, bedding, leashes, and other basic necessities.
Education & Resources
Access to guidance on responsible pet ownership, behavior support, training resources, and preventative care education.
Keeping Pets in Homes
Temporary assistance and resource coordination aimed at preventing owner surrenders whenever safe and possible alternatives exist.
