THE ASPYN PROJECT
A NEW WAY TO GET INVOLVED
Not everyone is in a position to foster or adopt—and that’s okay. We hear it all the time:
"I love what you’re doing. I wish I could help, but I just can’t take in a dog right now."

That’s exactly why we created The Aspyn Project—a community-driven initiative by Sloan & Finn Animal Rescue designed to give animal lovers other meaningful ways to get involved, make an impact, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

Named in honor of our founding rescue dog Aspyn Sloan, a survivor of deep neglect who blossomed with time, love, and support, this project represents the heart of our mission: giving dogs—and people—a second chance.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED:
Volunteer Your Time
You don’t need to foster to make a difference. We’re always looking for helping hands to:
-
Transport dogs to vet appointments or adoption events
-
Deliver supplies to foster families or community pet owners
-
Help at adoption events, fundraisers, or community outreach programs
-
Assist with admin tasks, photography, or social media content
Support Community Dogs
Through The Aspyn Project, we work directly with underserved communities to support owned pets and prevent shelter surrenders by offering:
-
Free pet food deliveries
-
Leashes, collars, and basic care kits
-
Support for spay/neuter, microchipping, and flea/tick prevention
-
Reuniting lost pets with their families
Help Us Spread the Word
Sharing our posts, highlighting adoptable dogs, or organizing mini fundraisers with friends can go a long way. You don’t need thousands of followers—just a passion for helping animals.
Attend or Host an Event
Whether it’s a donation drive, a local pop-up, or a “Pints for Pups” happy hour, events are one of the best ways to get involved. You can attend, volunteer, or even help plan one in your neighborhood.
Make a Tangible Impact
Even if you can’t foster, you can “sponsor” a dog in our care or donate toward supplies, vet care, or training. Monthly donors and one-time gifts both play a critical role in what we do.
